From Anita Haight
To our dear D’Arcy,
You were always one to look up to. With your confidence, wonderful whit and intellect, you truly inspired everyone around you. Being one of the younger cousins in the Haight gang and being 1 out of the 4 girl cousins, I was often excluded in doing whatever my older brothers and cousins were doing. They didn’t want “twister” hanging around incase I told on them to my dad. But I do have a few core memories in the old cottage of spending time with you, holding your hand as you led the way to comfort me when all I wanted to do was keep up with the older kids.
I wish I got to spend more time with you as an adult. The way you lived and loved your life amazes me, I will cherish our memories forever and ever and tell stories about you to my son Ryder. He was born 2 days after you moved on, and he has what they call a “stork bite” on the back of his neck, they say that means they’ve been kissed by an angel before coming into this world and I know it was you D’Arcy.
I’ll love you forever and miss you just as long
Anita
